Sharpening His Country Teeth

Alec Ounsworth, the lead singer/songwriter for Clap Your Hands Say Yeah!, seems to be working on a solo album. There are several demo songs available for free download at his website http://flashypython.com/. Proving that he's more than a one-trick pony, these new songs are skewed americana and country-tinged folk that evokes everyone from Neil Young to Jeff Mangum. There is also an early version of "Details Of The War" that shows Bob Dylan and Neil Young are probably more primary influences on him than David Byrne.
